About Edison Hu

I spent five years in enterprise backend engineering, moved into customer field delivery, and later ran a physical business. Today my strongest work sits between problem discovery, people alignment and technical delivery.

Engineering is the base. The field decides what matters.

I began in enterprise Java backend development. My manager later moved me into customer delivery because I was effective at communication and requirement judgment. I helped turn unclear business ideas into work engineering could build and customers could evaluate, then coordinated remote developers through delivery.

FDE is a useful name for that role: close enough to the business to understand the real constraint, and technical enough to make responsible delivery decisions.

Running a physical business changed how I judge work

In 2022 I worked on a photovoltaic venture, handling government communication, partnerships and supply-chain coordination. It made capital, policy, field conditions and partner dependency very concrete. It also clarified where my combined strengths—technology, business understanding and coordination—create an edge.

What I bring beyond implementation

Problem discovery

Find worthwhile needs in repeated work, information gaps and commercial friction.

Requirement clarity

Help customers map the goal, current process, boundary and acceptance condition.

Cross-functional delivery

Make the decisions and responsibilities across owners, operators, finance and engineering explicit.

Technical execution

Judge system and data boundaries, and build websites, prototypes and AI workflows directly when useful.

Advisory and training are also possible

I can support internal sessions on problem discovery, customer field communication, AI workflows and FDE delivery. The material is built around operating situations rather than a generic tool catalogue.
